Customs Regulations for Peptides in Europe (2026)
Europe peptide customs guide: UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy. 90-day supply limits, Schengen certificate, and what customs asks.
Schengen Medical Certificate
The Schengen medical certificate is your passport for carrying prescription medications across EU borders. It must be issued by your physician, include the INN (generic) name of each compound, and be stamped by your national health authority.
UK Personal Import Rules Post-Brexit
Since Brexit, the UK operates independently from Schengen rules. You need a valid UK prescription (NHS or private) and may import a maximum 3-month personal supply. MHRA classification applies — most peptides are unlicensed medicines.
Country-by-Country Guide
| Country | Max Supply | Prescription Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| UK | 3 months | Yes | MHRA rules |
| Germany | 3 months | Yes | BfArM |
| France | 3 months | Yes | ANSM + Schengen cert |
| Italy | 3 months | Yes | AIFA |
| Netherlands | 3 months | Yes | CBG |
| Greece | 3 months | Yes | Declare |
| Spain | 3 months | Yes | AEMPS |
What Happens If Customs Stops You
Stay calm. Present your Schengen certificate first, then your physician letter. European customs officers are generally well-trained and recognize medical documentation. Confiscation without documentation is the main risk.
