TSA Rules for Injectable Peptides 2026
Updated TSA guidelines for BPC-157, Semaglutide, and TB-500. Syringes allowed? Yes. Here's everything you need.
Are Research Peptides Legal to Fly With in the US?
Research peptides that are not Schedule I-V controlled substances are legal to possess and transport domestically. BPC-157, TB-500, Ipamorelin, CJC-1295, and most growth hormone secretagogues fall into this category.
Labeling Requirements — Original Packaging Matters
TSA agents visually inspect items. Vials in original packaging with clear labels (compound name, concentration, lot number) pass with minimal friction. Unlabeled vials in a ziplock bag will trigger additional questions.
The TSA Regulation You Can Show Agents
TSA's official policy (accessible at tsa.gov) states: "Medication in liquid form is allowed in carry-on bags in reasonable quantities for the flight." This covers peptide vials. Save a screenshot on your phone.
GLP-1 Peptides — Extra Scrutiny Since 2025
Semaglutide and tirzepatide have become high-profile since the weight loss boom. TSA agents are now more familiar with these items but may ask more questions. A prescription label is your strongest tool for GLP-1 compounds.
