How to Take Peptides Through TSA (2026)

Flying with peptides? Exact TSA rules for vials, syringes, and ice packs. No confiscation. Updated 2026.

Carry-On Only — Never Check Peptides in Cargo Hold

The single most important rule: peptides go in your carry-on bag. Cargo holds experience temperature extremes from -40°C to +50°C. Checked luggage also gets lost. Your vials are irreplaceable mid-trip.

Declaring Medical Liquids at Security — What to Say

Before placing your bag on the belt, tell the TSA officer: "I have medical vials and syringes in my bag." This is not optional — it is the fastest way through. Officers who are informed upfront are less likely to flag your items for extended screening.

TSA Success Script

"I have medical vials and syringes in my bag. They are for personal medical use. I have documentation if needed."

Peptide Vial Limits Per Passenger

TSA does not impose a specific limit on the number of medical vials. You may carry a reasonable supply for the duration of your trip. "Reasonable" is generally interpreted as up to a 90-day personal supply.

What Happens If TSA Questions You

Stay calm. Offer your physician letter. TSA agents are trained to recognize medical items. If an agent is uncertain, they will call a supervisor. You have the right to request a private screening. Peptides have never been classified as prohibited items by TSA.
